Terms & Conditions of Entry

​​​Welcome to Lagos in Toronto! By attending our events, purchasing a ticket, or entering any of our venues, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Entry & Admission

  • Lagos in Toronto (LIT) reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest at its discretion to maintain a safe, vibrant, and inclusive environment reflective of our community values.

  • A valid government-issued photo ID may be required for entry, especially for age-restricted events (e.g., 19+).

  • All tickets are revocable licenses and do not guarantee admission if venue capacity or conditions change.

  • Re-entry policies may vary by venue and are subject to change.

2. Photography, Media & Likeness Consent

  • By entering a LIT event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded.

  • Lagos in Toronto and its partners may use this media for promotional purposes across platforms including but not limited to our website, social media, press, and branded content.

  • You waive any right to inspect or approve such use or receive compensation.

  • Prefer to avoid being on camera? Let our staff know at entry — we’ll do our best to provide a wristband or guide you to low-capture areas.

  • We will never publish full names or identifying information without your explicit written consent.

3. Ticketing Policy

  • All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated during purchase.

  • Transfers or resales may be limited depending on the ticketing platform used.

  • In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling, we will notify you and provide options accordingly.

  • Our events are rain-or-shine unless specified otherwise.

4. Code of Conduct

LIT is committed to creating an atmosphere that uplifts and celebrates Afro Culture with joy, style, and mutual respect.

  • We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, violence, or disruptive behavior of any kind.

  • Any guest violating these standards may be removed without refund.

  • For details, please refer to our Community Guidelines.

  • If you witness or experience behavior that doesn’t align with our values, alert any LIT team member or vendor immediately.

5. Liability Waiver

  • Participation in any LIT event is at your own risk.

  • You acknowledge the inherent risks of attending a live event including potential injury, illness, or property loss.

  • Lagos in Toronto is not responsible for personal injury, lost or stolen belongings, or damages sustained while attending our events.

6. Prohibited Items

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Weapons of any kind

  • Outside food or alcohol

  • Fireworks or flammable items

  • Drones

  • Professional camera gear (unless pre-approved)

All guests are subject to security screenings. We reserve the right to confiscate prohibited items or deny entry.

7. Accessibility & Accommodations

  • LIT strives to make all our events inclusive and accessible.

  • For ADA-related inquiries or accommodation requests, please contact us ahead of the event at contactus@lagosintoronto.com.

8. Messaging & Data Policy

  • Event Communications:

  • By purchasing a ticket, you agree to receive necessary transactional messages (e.g., confirmations, updates, logistics) from our ticketing partner. Message and data rates may apply.

  • We respect your privacy and do not sell personal data. 

9. Arbitration / Legal Terms

  • Any dispute arising from messaging services or other offerings provided by Lagos in Toronto will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of law.

  • Both parties waive the right to jury trials or class actions.

10. Health & Safety

  • You acknowledge the health risks associated with public gatherings. By attending, you voluntarily assume any risk of exposure to infectious diseases and agree to comply with any posted safety protocols.

  • LIT may update health and safety guidelines to align with local public health regulations.
